The new innovation of TE’s microQSFP products can now bring better electrical performance at 25 gigabits per second and almost 30 % higher density than QSFP to fit more ports on a line card. The CTO of TE Data Devices also said that technological advances of TE’s micro QSFP connectors enable the consumer to place around 70 ports of 100 GB per second on each 1RU line card.
These new microQSFP can bring 56 GB per second with backward compatibility of 28 GB per second. All this has been brought by TE to support the new generation consumer. TE’s elimination to additional clips and heatsinks allow the better flow of air in and out of the equipment which significantly contributes to the thermal capability or performance of the microQSFP.
